Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Fleet Manager ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Fleet Manager is a web application that allows you to manage and monitor your Tesla vehicles using the Tesla Fleet API. The Service provides:

  • Vehicle status monitoring and control
  • GPS location tracking and trip history
  • Charging session monitoring and statistics
  • Battery and energy usage analytics
  • Vehicle sharing with other users
  • Telemetry data collection and storage

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account using your email address and connect your own Tesla Developer account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Creating and managing your own Tesla Developer application
  • Complying with Tesla's Developer Terms of Service
  • All activities that occur under your account

4. Tesla Developer Account

This Service requires you to create your own Tesla Developer account at developer.tesla.com. By using our Service:

  • You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own Tesla Developer application
  • We securely store your Tesla API credentials (encrypted) to access your vehicles on your behalf
  • We generate and host authentication keys required for the Tesla Fleet API
  • You can revoke access at any time through your Tesla account

5. Data Collection and Usage

The Service collects and stores data from your Tesla vehicles, including:

  • Vehicle identification (VIN, display name, model)
  • GPS location data and movement history
  • Battery state and charging information
  • Climate control settings
  • Trip data (start/end locations, distance, energy consumption)
  • Real-time telemetry data (if Fleet Telemetry is enabled)

6. Vehicle Sharing

You may share access to your vehicles with other users. When sharing:

  • You control what permissions shared users receive (view only, basic commands, full commands)
  • You are responsible for who you share access with
  • You can revoke shared access at any time
  • Shared users must also agree to these Terms of Service

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' vehicles or data
  • Share access to vehicles you do not own or have permission to share
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Vehicle commands may fail or be delayed due to network issues, vehicle state, or Tesla API limitations.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
